The service did suck, but I think the girl was new and/or dying. Now I think the menu is hit or miss- I've has four dishes there- two amazing, two horrific. The thandoori Chicken sanwich- best thing Ive ever had. The macho burrito was also great and nummy-but one of the Asian dished tasted like nothing, and the thandoori chicken entree(not the sandwich) was pretty boring- And the nan sucks. So stick to the sandwiches and dont be daring if you go.

I've been to Fusion a few times and I've always had a good experience. The prices are decent and service is always good. I've tried the Indian dishes over rice which I'd highly recommend, especially if you enjoy authentic Indian food. Also, the sandwiches are very tasty and I heard Chicago's magazine even named the Tandoori Chicken sandwich one of the top sandwiches. The tandoori and the spicy cripsy chicken are two of the best sandwiches I've tried in Evanston. Plus, they have homer's ice cream which makes their sundaes very good. I highly recommend this place to try new flavors and to get away from the same franchise restaurants of Evanston.

Not sure why people call it expensive, most the gourmet sandwiches and such were under $7 and came with a side. Food was very good: not your traditional restaurant. Everything has a slight spin on it and is very refreshing to get away from the standardized food most other places serve. The tandoori chicken sandwhich, highly rated in the city of Chicago by critics, is excellent. Haven't had a bad or bland meal there yet, highly recommended.

All good ratings must be fake. The food is overpriced and awful. The service is generally poor. Even if they give you cupons, do not contribute to this restaurant staying in business. Fusion is a mistake in progress- so don't make another one and eat there.

People who don't like this place must not possess tastebuds. This food is fresher, more flavorful, and much different from anywhere in Evanston... not to mention that the menu is huge and everything is super cheap! By the way, apparently critics like it too, seeing as Chicago Magazine named its Tandoori Chicken Sandwich as one of the 3 best sandwiches in Chicago.

I ate here once and never again. The food was overpriced, horrible, and *cold*. It was like they cooked some food early in the morning and slapped it into the microwave and heated them up for lunch. Hell, my 2-day old leftovers from Phoenix Inn were far better tasting than the crap from this place, and didn't give me a queasy feeling. I couldn't finish the food. It was disgusting.

Just all around bad. My veggie burger was still cold in the middle. My friend actually got food poisoning. I agree--go anywhere else.

they had "run out" of the ingredients for the dish my friend and i ordered and were not apologetic in any way. we ordered our second choices, and they were simply awful. this food is at the level of plex west, and we really weren't expecting much. i said to my companion afterwards, "is it as bad as we were expecting?" his response: "worse!" i really hope this place either figures out how to cook something other than bland food (which made me feel sick, by the way) OR they just close up shop and let some other establishment open up in this prime near-campus location. truly terrible dining experience -- don't go.

food is pretty decent, maybe on par w/ west side of plex. i tried "lentil soup" and ginger/red-pepper chicken over noodles. the chicken portion was a good size, but the amount of noodles on the plate was obscene. i dunno if a carbo-loading runner would put away that much before a race. the soup/dhal was a worth it; the chicken had good flavor; the noodles were practically tasteless.
the food is decent but overpriced. the fusion concept doesn't work at this establishment b/c they don't fuse flavors or preparations of different cultures (the menu just has individual dishes from different cuisines) so it makes more sense to eat at another place that specializes in a single style of food (say, Thai Sookdee, Billy Goat's Tavern, or Sizzle India), and it would be cheaper too. "Fusion" is a misnomer for this restaurant.
however, if they offered a 50% discount-on-weeknights deal, like Clark's, i could see myself going back.

Disgusting and overpriced. My "house soup" tasted like dishwater with some soy sauce laced through it to make the grey looking water more colorful.
