Here is a tip for getting a better bargain at Marble Slab - if you want one of their combinations such as the "chip off the block" which consists of vanilla ice cream and two scoops of chocolate chips and costs $4.50 - instead of asking for it by name you should order "a cup (or cone) of vanilla and two scoops of chocolate chips." If you order it by ingredients rather than name it will be $2.75 instead. I've tried this 4 times and it worked each time. Overall I happen to love their iced cream - much better than Cold Stone and service is actually quite friendly once they start to recognize you.

very expensive and not that great. go to evanston creamery: it's much cheaper and about ten times better.

More ice cream varieties and toppings than you can ever imagine.
Tip: Go for the raspberry in the waffle cone. You will be the envy of your friends for the rest of the evening.
