While this place is a tad pricey, it's worth every penny and more. The service is absolutely amazing and the food is some of the best I have EVER had. The chef makes delicious and visually pleasing dishes. Every single thing on the menu looked and sounded absolutely delicious. They have a lovely selection of wines to go with any of their amazing dishes. The whole place is fantastic. I don't care how much it cost--it was the best.

I don't know what J. Liang ordered, but I found the food to be quite good. I had the grilled mussels appetizer and they were excellent. A lot of places will overcook mussels, but Glass Onion made them well. The garlicky shrimp linguine was tasty and pretty filling. The hint of lemon really brought the flavors together in that dish. And the bread that they served at the table was really good. The only knock against the place is that I don't know how "Mediterranean" the food was unless you count France to be a Mediterranean land. The ambience was perfect- not too dark, not too bright. It is expensive, but not unreasonable. An appetizer, two entrees, two glasses of wine, and a dessert went for about $75 plus tip(all of that food wasn't just for me. I had a date). Compared to fine dining experiences that I've had in the city, I felt that the food at Glass Onion was better than most places and competitively priced. The service was excellent as well. The location is less than a 10 minute drive from campus. I'd definitely go there again.

This restaurant is amazing-it has the taste and style of a fancy downtown restaurant right in our own back yard! The food is some of the best I've ever had, though its described as Mediterannean, there are a lot of familiar American dishes on the menu as well. The presentation of the dishes is breath taking. If you enjoy wine, you will be impressed by their wine list. The major draw back is price, though I think the prices are fair for the food that you get, it's still too much for the average undergrad. This cafe is the perfect place to take your parents or a date. Truly a fine dining experience.
