Food was wonderful. I had geat fois gras, and the dessert was fabulous chocolate cake. Their wine list is longer than the menu and they actually have wine tastings. Atmosphere is perfect, a great escape from Evanston. It is more expensive, but it is a nice restaurant. Our waitress was a little slow, but she was nice, and was definitely not eavesdropping or trying to push us out the door. I can see why this is a local favorite.

The food is delicious, really the best in Evanston. On the pricy side, yes, but well worth it. Especially their taster courses. The atmosphere is eclectic and a welcome relief from this bland midwestern chain stuff. Service is great. So is the wine.

Pricy, but worth it. I am also a vegetarian, and received the same offer of a specially-made pasta, but turned it down for soup and salad, which were good but nothing mind-boggling. If you're a chocoholic, get the warm belgium chocolate cake!!!!!!!

When I went there was no vegetarian entree on the menu, and our server was so nice and accomodating about asking the chef to make me one. The pasta they made me was nothing spectacular, but the great service actually made up for it! The endive-watercress salad was my favorite item of the night. The other 3 people at my table had Moroccan lamb, which they absolutely loved. Yum!

It's just too damn good...when your parents visit and want to take you out to dinner, ask them to take you to Chef's Station. Besides, W. Bailey is uncultured and sucks ass so what would he know anyway????

Everything about Chef's Station rocks. The food, though of course expensive, is great, the atmosphere/decor is cool, and the service is excellent. The Tribune Review can provide a lot more useful information than me.

Phenomenal food (although you certainly pay for it). Try the tasting menu- 5 courses, all exquisitely presented, and they know their wines very well.

Some may think the food is a little weird (like the skate) but it is delicious! Fantastic service and dessert. A little pricey, but worth it for the dining expirience! Not for the picky eater!
