I love the chicken parmigian! It is the best that I've had in Evanston, and the only place I've been here where they actually bread the chicken first. The portions are huge and the food is pretty good!

Okay restaurant, but I haven't had a meal I liked there yet. The food is tasteless and blah.

I had the calzone and OH WOW was it horrible. The damn thing was soaking wet!! It cost me 12 bucks and the bread around my stuffing wasnt even bread yet, I could probably make a better one from scratch.
YIKES stay away from the Calzones!

So many people praise Dave's to be amazing. Have they ever really tasted the food? Or have their tastebuds really been that deadened by dorm food. Really, your money would be better spent elsewhere, and the service is first rate horrible. Yes, we may be students, but even we have to get our food sometime.

This place is such an Evanston stable. Its not your traditional Italian, but the atmosphere is great, food portions are huge and you have to love the calzones.

the food is horrendous, the service is nothing special. food is tasteless and lacks presentation. amazed that this place is still in business.
